question
by: pnmIf you end up in a bottom tier sorority, will you still be invited to parties/events held by upper tier sororities?

most sororities have 3 or 4 functions per semester and any number of mixers.. as for frat parties it does not matter what sorority you're in as long as you get invited! however, it is common that certain sororities and fraternities hang out more than others.. seriously don't freak out about this

I am in what is considered a bottom tier sorority at USC. I guess what you are referring to is a sorority function. I have attended a few other sorority functions (you have to be invited by one of the sorority sisters). I have a few friends in different chapters so they invite me to their events and I invite them to a few of my functions. Either way it is a lot of fun! Remember that all the sororities at USC have great functions and you will stay very busy and involved with whatever chapter you decide to pick. I have also attended plenty of fraternity functions. I have enjoyed myself at USC, and I would recommend getting involved as much as you can while here at USC (with greek life, within your sorority, and with other organizations on campus). Take advantage of all the opportunities. College is more than parties :) haha

Sometimes if you have friends in another sorority you might go to mixers with them, but that's more of an upperclassmen thing / privilege when the rest of the sorority knows and likes you. Not all sororities are like that but I have friends in all of them and there is on that I will occasionally tag along with or vice versa - mixers meaning the unofficial parties.
Otherwise, some sororities do group swaps with multiple sororities, but I'm not sure of any of the bottom tiers that do that.
