tridelt or adpi
by: HelpI know it's early in rush but I need a general consensus about tridelt and adpi. I had a great time in both houses, different but awesome! I'm a classic southern girl and I think I'd fit in well at both houses! I am very focused on my school work and I grew up in a religious family, while religion is not a huge part of my life, I do my best to go to church every Sunday. That being said, I like to go out but within reason (I'd like to end my four years at usc without any citations). I love adpi's class and I think I'd fit in well in that atmosphere but I don't like the exclusivity within the house between just one fraternity and no other friends outside the house (or so I've read). I also believe id have a great time in ddd because I definitely want that college fun experience between going out, mixing, and having friends in other houses. I know this isn't too much info (don't want to give myself away) but from what I've said id LOVE any advice you're willing to give me. I am well aware that rush is supposed to give me a real taste of each house but I want to know what I'm getting myself into. Thank you so much!

I loved tri delt and adpi during rounds one and two and im having a hard time also. I think tri delt seems more down to earth and relaxed, while adpi seems a little fake. The tri delt that talked to me seemed like she was so into our conversation and I had such great conversations there.

Their are girls in every sorority at USC that go out. Their are a large number of girls in every "top" sorority (KD ADPj Tri delt) that are drunk at their functions and go downtown regularly on weekday nights. Their are also girls on all these sororities that choose not to really drink or like to stay in with their boyfriends or whatever. Their is EVERY kind of girl on every sorority. If anyone tells you "adpis don't go out" or "tri delts are mean girls" they are just plain wrong. Their is no way to generalize the sororities that broad. Working the too three, ADPi KD and Tri Delt, there are girls that mix with the top fraternities and with each other as well.

From what I've seen, DDD and KD are not really top here. I too like AXO, XO, ZTA (not as much), DZ, and Phi Mu over them. I thought ADPi was good, but like someone else said, they did seem a little fake. Like they were just going though the motions.

im in one of the sororities you mentioned outside of ddd, adpi, and kd and while i guess its nice that you think my sorority is cool, i have friends in the other three, and i just want to clarify that ddd, adpi, and kd are all amazing sisterhoods!!!
i'm going to change your tune on this and chalk it up to not that those other sororities are better than ddd, adpi, or kd, but just to the fact that people are being honest about what they like and not feeling like they have to stick with tired expectations or reputations - i think it shows that our sororities here at usc really aren't top or bottom heavy, we are well rounded and there truly aren't any undesirable houses at usc!!!

i think this seems like a DDD or ADPi doing some damage control. Most of us PNM’s who have been here for a semester or two already really want Chi O, AXO, and maybe ADPi. Maybe there are different girls but every sorority has a “type” and DDD is full of the snobbiest, cliquiest girls. Every girl who is actually cool wants to drop because they only have one or two friends in the sorority. ADPi has some nice girls but a lot of them are very shallow and rude to others. KD is just OK, I would be grateful but not excited if I got a bid from them and would honestly rather go DZ, KKG, or Phi Mu over those three.
