rush lists

What exactly does it mean to be on a rush list for a fraternity? I'm on a couple of them and I don't really know whether it's significant or not?

It's not significant just means your 1/hundreds of guys on their contact list to invite out. It is good your on lists tho cuz you'll get invited to stuff tho, cuz most hate dealing with formal rush and have all their bids decided before it.

I mean it's like a group text and there's only like 18 people in it so it seems a little more refined than that

never get the idea that you are guaranteed a bid. even if youre a super legacy, you can get balled if they dont like you

Trust me i don't think I'm guaranteed anything I just was wondering how important rush lists are (apparently not very). I'm not a legacy or anything btw

But that's just one group. And a lot of the guys will have groups. You're probably one in a hundred or so
