How many girls ended up registering for recruitment? I know I closed today so I was wondering if anyone knew an exact number.

How many girls get into each sorority? I know there's a quota and it varies but generally how many girls?

Hearing that 1700 girls are rushing makes me even more nervous for recruitment now...

Don't worry...just try to have a fun experience. I met some great girls in my Pi Chi group that I am still friends with today. And we belong to different houses. Go in with an open mind and remember, you are looking for a sisterhood.

what's the truth behind some sororities supposed plan to cut down pc's? it was cool that USC had he biggest rush and biggest pc's in the entire nation after only one or two schools for the past couple years, but there's been some talk that it became too watered down and hard to develop sisterhood with pcs of 120+ and not being a uf -size school (23,000 vs 50,000 +).

I wouldn't be against that for sisterhood, exclusivity, and quality reasons, but it would mean a lot of girls don't get bids. Thoughts / insights?

I'm not sure if you're a PNM or an already initiated member in a sorority but in my opinion I am not opposed to the numbers being cut down, its so hard to get to know everyone when there are 120 in your pledge class alone. It takes away the sisterhood aspect of a sorority; what some would argue to be the central meaning of being apart of a sorority. I think at a school as large as USC, 80 in a pledge class would be a perfect number.

Are they doing that this year? A lot of girls already won't get bids!!!

There's usually only like 20 girls each year who go through recruitment completely that won't get a bid at all. Last year we had over 400 drop before bid day. That's how the number goes down. You'll be fine as long as you don't drop.

Agree with "I" 150% but pnms would be freakibg the f out because it WOULD mean a lot more girls don't get bids. Also, the sororities would have to collude together to do it, because otherwise if top tiers took 80 and lower tiers took 130 then everyone would say top tiers suck.
