Y'all have all said it yourself that zta and kd have gotten bad pledge classes the past few years and that xo and axo have gotten good ones. Wouldn't that mean that since these are the girls in the houses right now that xo and axo are better. It's stupid to call someone top tier because they once were. This is the present...

kd, ddd, and zeta are def not getting bad pledge classes... they're on top and they get top girls... that being said some slip through the cracks and go xo and axo thus axo and xo believe they have gotten "good" pledge classes which they have... after ddd, kd, and zeta droppped those girls lol

That's a good way to put it. definitely doesn't hurt axo or xo, but zta and ddd are not underperforming by any stretch of the imagination.

delusional if you think sororities can coast on their old reps. No one thinks DDD, ZTA, or KD are tops anymore, especially after last years's pledge classes. I went through rush last year and wasn't impressed by any of those 3. That's just they way I felt. I'm sorry if you don't believe me, but its true. I am so glad I didn't pledge one of those 3.

posting on this site a million times about how bad kd, tri delt, and zeta's pledge classes are is not going to change anyone's opinion... those girls have the highest retention rates along with adpi. the pnms are getting better thus axo and xo are getting better pledge classes.. doesn't change the top still getting the top though.

You really don't know anyone's retention rates...that's private in each chapter. ADPi, AXO and XO had the best pledge classes last year and denying it doesn't make it untrue.

I hope yall both get all the pnms who come on this site!!! Then it can turn into an even bigger joke of self ranking!!!! The girls who matter dont check this site, as well as the sororities.

i don’t get why girls are always commenting on here about chi o and axo “self ranking”…all i have seen is people say they are nice to everyone, and then have other girls immediately commenting how wrong they are to say something nice about them and how much better their sorority is than those two. seems to me that ddd, kd, zta, and adpi are the ones trying to self rank and tear down axo and chi o.

with "confused". It looks to me that ADPi, DDD, KD, and ZTA are just jealous of how well AXO and XO have done the last few years. You don't get a lifetime pass to stay in top tier if you haven't gotten the best pledge classes the last few years. Things do change, especially in the minds of PNMs. This is 2014, not 1990.

i think history does play a huge part in who is considered "top tier", and that's fine. axo and xo might be just as "good" (whatever is included - involvement, social, respect, looks, leadership, being well liked, whatever) as the other four, but while they have always been (since at least the 90's) ahead of the "lower tier", they have also been just below the top four. a lot of people think that they are "just as good" or "better" than some of the top four, but tradition does play a very strong role in the consideration, and is what is keeping them from being in the unquestioned top... not saying they won't get there but to some people, there is a valid argument that they just aren't quite there yet, even if it is because of that.
and as someone pointed out before, "tradition" means being traditionally strong, not just having a long history here at usc. chi o has been around forever at usc, while axo is actually the newest (unless there are others that didn't "pan out" that i don't know about - definitely possible) since the new wave of sororities having come in the 80's - but dz and kappa have also been around forever and aren't even in the top tier question.

it's probably actually not an axo or xo, just someone trying to stir up trouble. and also no one really actually thinks ddd or zta are getting bad pledge classes, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
