fraternities and money
by: SCThere seems to be a misconception with regards to fraternities and money. If you've worked and saved up money this summer, pledging and dues will not be out of your budget. All the fraternities have kids who are rich and kids who aren't. I'd say most of the kids pay their own dues, and many have payment plans. A fair amount of us even work part time to help pay, myself included. So don't think if your parents aren't rich you aren't getting a bid. I mean, it's not like your parents are likely to donate tons of money to the chapter, and your dues have to be paid whether your parents pay for it or not anyway. So money shouldn't be the issue.

that is true, so a fraternity might not be a good choice for those who are paying their own way through college. However, the meal plan is a comparable price to campus meal plans, and it's better food anyway. and again, they have payment plans for members. Don't let money be the soul factor in not rushing, paying is possible
