greek life
by: C#1 by: All pros
I've met most of my best friends through my sorority. There is always something planned to do whether it be functions, mixers or philanthropy events. Our chef cooks some killer meals. I've been afforded ample opportunities to get involved in leadership positions both inside and outside of my sorority through connections within my sorority. But most of all Greek life provides a home away from home. Your future sisters (or brothers if you're a guy) will be there for you no matter what. They' re excited for you in your successes and encourage you through your failures. As cliche as this sounds being a part of Greek life doesn't make me better than someone who isn't, but it sure has made me a better version of myself. Good luck during rush (:

It's a much easier way to connect with a large percentage of the student body who likely have similar interests and studies.
It's a great way to be introduced to an older crowd who can help you live your collegiate life to the fullest
The best social events and parties are most prevalent in the Greek community
You make friends with people with whom you share common morals and ideals, and those friendships are meant to last a lifetime
You can throw those letters on a resume (less influential nowadays though)
A vast network of people, many of these connections will be invaluable later on
and much much more. See for yourself
