upperclassman quota

by: Soph. PNM

I heard that sororities have something called Upperclassman quota. Does that mean you have to give bids to a certain number of upperclassmen? How does this work? Are there separate quotas for sophomores and juniors? Does each sorority have to abide by this or is it really up to each sorority to decide? And who sets the quota number? Sorry for all the questions. As a sophomore, I know I don't have as good a chance of getting a bid, but I really want to be part of a sisterhood.

this is kinda true. sororities would anther take freshmen than upperclassmen so there is a quota. sophomores are fine though but juniors, best of luck to you.

Could someone explain how this works and who sets the quota?

All you need to know is it is going to be fine. Don't worry. Go Into recruitment with an open mind. If we told you everything about the recruitment process, it ruins the integrity of it all.
