honest rundown + rank
by: future pnmso I'm attending UofSC in the fall and def want to rush. I know there's a lot of divide between northern and southern sororities but I am like a blend of both. what are the honest rundowns for each sorority and what they look for in new members? also do better high school stats/activities help you get a bid from a top house?

Don’t stress too much! Honestly all the sororities at USC are amazing in their own ways! Don’t let other people or GreekRank tell u otherwise. Mostly all srats look for pnms who share their chapter morals, are academically driven, and looking for sisterhood. Having good grades and activities in high school will absolutely make a difference and help you during rush. But have faith in the process, because u will find ur home by being authentically yourself. I would really encourage avoiding srat rank discourse or anything of the sort because you don’t want to start rush with a bias, definitely ruins the experience.

I think you need to determine why you are joining and what do you consider are qualities of a top sorority. What you think might not be what someone else thinks. In the eyes of each sister- their sorority is top. You need to go in with an open mind, what type of experience you want and where you feel most comfortable. Do not place so much weight on rankings.

I think the only sororities that really lean north of south are zeta achio kd and adpi. Im im Tridelt and it's definitely more southern but it really doesn't matter I'm a liberal from the south and no one cares. The conversations you have in each house are really what make or break it!
