big, blonde(ish), and beautiful

So I'm a size 16, and I'm working on changing that, but Noah didn't build the ark in a day. So will it be an issue at rush if I show up, looking to rush at this size? I've wanted to rush ever since I was little so hopefully I won't be disappointed! Be honest please!

Some houses may drop you but I'm a size 4 and got dropped from houses too! Everyone gets dropped from some for different reasons but the system works itself out and you will end up where you belong :) greek life at usc really isn't that catty so don't worry!

Just be really outgoing and don't let them see if you are feeling insecure. I would work on trying to be fit though.

Work out girl but if you have a fun and outgoing personality you will be fine! Just be yourself and don't try and act insecure about it.

If you've been dreaming of going Greek, come on and try it out!! Rush! I promise you'll find your spot. Just keep an open mind. They're all right above me. Every sorority has their "big girls"

Don't let yourself get discouraged about it! The other posters are right when they say every sorority has some bigger girls. When you go through rush, you will definitely see a lot of super skinny girls but I promise you will notice more diversity throughout the semester. There are some rumors that certain houses try to hide their bigger girls during rush, but honestly the houses are so full of people there is no way of seeing every member! Gamma Phi does have a reputation for having bigger girls, but they have an awesome sisterhood and would be a great home for any sized girl. Bottom line is that sororities love fun, put-together girls and those will be the main qualities they look for in everyone! (And if a sorority can't see past your size, I guarantee there are plenty more that will)

I think all houses would rather have a bigger girl with an awesome personality than a thin one who is crazy! Just be confident!

Every single house has big girls. It's because they aren't looking at that, they're looking at your personality. If you're funny and make a great first impression then that is what will make them remember you!

As a member of gamma phi, I absolutely resent the "go gamma phi" comments. The girls above definitely are right in saying a the houses do have girls that aren't tiny size twos. The fact is if you show off your great personality and your enthusiasm for rush and still get cut, those aren't the houses you want to be in any way. Just be yourself!
