# Houses asked back

New to rush in the south. What does it mean to get asked back to only 3 houses after round 1. Meaning why would someone be cut from so many after round 1 and will a bid to a house by the end be possible?

At least you got invited back to three. I suspect that your grades are not very good. First round of cuts are almost always grade related, reputation related, or both. A very large number of girls coming through rush this year isn’t helping. I would suspect your grades in comparison with the majority of the other girls are probably on the low side.

Just focus on those three houses and don't waste mental energy on the ones who cut you.

Also Remember: Just because you got cut by a house doesn't mean they didn't like you. The first couple of rounds are a numbers game, pure and simple.
