next four years
by: PnmI'll be a freshman rushing next year, and on this site it seems like a lot of sororities are either on the edge of falling from top to mid tier or rising from mid to top. Which sororities will still be solid by the time I'm a senior?

the top 6 have been the top 6 for years and years, although tridelt has made the most strides. when my cousin went here, they were a fringe top tier - middle tier group, but they have been one of, if not the best for the last five or six years. axo and xo are still the more fringe of the top tiers, but they seem to be getting better year after year, although the may still have a little ways to go (in some people's opinions) to bridge the gap with the other four.
can't go wrong with any usc sorority, but the 6 will probably stay for a while and just continue to shuffle around a little bit or vary depending on individual preference.

^ stop with the jealousy and mean comments. As Monday said, top 6 will stay top 6 and everyone knows it. Everyone also know kd adpi ddd zta have been top for awhile. so unless you're not in the top there's no reason to year down kd and ddd

Not a tridelt - noticed I actually said that they didn't used to be top of top. I still think they are great though!!

was definitely posted by a tri delt. honestly if you are joining a sorority because you want to feel popular for the letters you wear then go tri delt. they have an awful sisterhood and every tri delt i know hates it and stays in just so they can say they are in it and feel good about themselves. they are the ONLY people who think they are the best sorority

I completely agree with the reply. Ztas are fun but they really only party and not much else so I'd put them at 6. Kd is definitely slipping into irrelevancy and I'd put them at 5 now, they are boring. Xo and axo have gotten really good pledge classes the past two years and are only improving id put them at 3 & 4, which one is which is a matter of preference. Ddd is slipping but still on top at 2 and adpi may not be super crazy fun but they are and probably will always be 1

There's really no way to tell. Sororities in 4 years can be COMPLETELY different from now because thats 4 different pledge classes. Generally, you get the same type of girls, but with 4 years, many can fall and rise. The top 6 is different than it was four years ago as proof.

although axo, xo, and ddd have moved up more and zta and kd down more (notice i didnt say ahead of or below each other!!) but six were the same.

The top 6 were the top six four years ago, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. ADPi, KD, DDD, XO, AXO, and ZTA are all considered top and that won't change for a while

top 6 was EXACTLY the same 6 four years ago. and four years before that (my sister was here then and she confirmed that). some shifting in the top 6, but still the top 6 nonetheless. sorry agd, it's not happening.

All eleven sororities are great in different ways. If you base your opinion of which sisterhood to join on their "ranking" then you are missing out on seeing what all eleven sororities have to offer. Look at their values and what they believe in and how you fit with the girls, not some stupid tier system.

If we are truly honest on here, everyone wants one of the top 6. Lots of crying last year when girls got dropped. But, don't set yourself up for failure by not looking at all 11 sororities. You are not "too good" for any of the chapters here. Lots of girls ended up with no bid at all with that attitude.

well said. top 6 is great, but so are the rest of the sororities. there is no caste system or fear of social suicide should you end up elsewhere. DZ, KKG, AGD, and GPHI would all be top sororities at any other school, and usc is continuing to colonize and expand - not sure what the piphi situation is for this year's rush, but they are a very good national sorority and should fit in great at usc.

I agree with this with their older pledge classes but the newer ones are all pretty good looking
