They don’t just give out houses to own. All the houses are owned by Greek chapters, some of them are houses that are owned by nationals of fraternities Beta narced on and got kicked off campus. If any of these new sororities/fraternities want to have a house or at least stop being renters (equally as embarrassing) they need to get their nationals to invest and build.

if a chapter doesn’t OWN a house they are definitely not the same as the chapters that have established themselves and show they have strong national chapters that invest in infrastructure for their chapters. If they lease a house, it’s better than not having on but it’s not the same. Neither is bad. Especially if one of those has higher dues than home owners and/or leaders 👀👀👀
