As much as I want to advocate staying away from this site before considering/preparing for recruitment... You're not going to actually stay away.
I was like you once.. Stressing every little detail about recruitment (recommendations, legacy information, family income, grades, tiers, etc.) and so I completely get why you are going to take everything mentioned on here to mind.
With all of this being said, if you come across anything on the site I hope you can take away this: Regardless of what sorority you end up with (whether stereotyped "party girls" or "laid back" whatever) you should honestly feel so enthusiastic to be apart of the greek system here at USC! Stop asking what the top/mid/bottom tiers are... Top 6? How about we refer to them as the Top 12 (or however many we have, they keep growing).
Every girl should, by the end of the day (ie bid day), feel so honored to be a part of such great sisterhoods that everyone on campus recognizes and respects!
So stop listening to the negative comments or the "rising/falling/perfect and never moving" labels. Every sorority has the ability to become better than before and make room for even more improvement; we should all be striving to become greater women each day. These stereotypes should have been left in high school, along with the cattiness.
Don't come into the greek world thinking you can just social climb your way through college. Tiers mean nothing & every sorority has every kind of girl honestly. The end.
