How hard is it for a sophomore to get a bid if they went through rush as a freshman?

Does anyone have advice for going through rush as a sophomore? I heard that each house has a separate sophomore quota, is that true?

most sororities have a certain number of sophomores they have to take. get to know girls now in the houses so that when you go through rush you have a way in. anyone a sorority takes that isn't a freshman will take up a spot of 1-3 freshman so you need to have connections
