rushing as a sophmore

Would rushing a fraternity my sophomore year hurt my chances of receiving a bid? Also what are some of the "best" fraternities on campus?

If you're cool, you'll get a bid. But I know for a fact that every house in the village will refrain from giving bids to certain guys because they're sophomores.
