I am going to university of south carolina next year and I was wondering if any girls had advice on fall rush? Also is it important for me to get letters of recommendation?

DO IT!!! Go into it open minded, dont base your decision off what is on this website, half of it is just girls being girls. Use your best judgement during rush and find the place you feel most at "home". Letters help but dont guarantee anything!! Good luck!

Going greek was the best decision by far!! Order a "Sorority Rush Survival Kit" online, thank me later ;). You will know when you fit with a house, but don't get a certain mind set. Keep in mind that the houses you get call backs from want YOU the most. Don't be nervous! Also letters of recommendation definitely help, but are not a guarantee.

Also, keep your grades up. There are heavy cuts for grades here.

A lot of girls are cut after round 1 for grades. The grade cut off point is different for each sorority. If you have above a 3.2, you should be O.K. Although, ADPi and XO might cut you with that. It would depend on how well they liked you I guess.
