No sweetie not every school does this. Bama and Ole Miss drop people. Literally from their recruitment website: "No. Although majority of the women participating in Recruitment are invited to join a chapter at the end of recruitment, for the last five years, more than 89% of the women participating in the Open House Round of Recruitment have received a bid, it is possible to go through recruitment and not pledge a sorority."

I’m assuming you’re a freshman if you think Greek life is all your college experience, even just the social part, is going to be about… usc isn’t that and most of us think that’s a good thing. Maybe you should have gone to bama instead. Maybe you wouldn’t have gotten into a sorority you wanted at bama - or at all?
Fwiw, not sure about this year but last year there were girls that got dropped entirely and didn’t make it into a house - do you think that’s like, “cool”??? Because I dont, as shole.

You are incorrect. The poster who talked about RFM is correct. It's in the recruitment green book that all schools follow.
If a girl signs an MRABA (pref card) and lists all the houses she was invited to pref for, she WILL get a bid from one of those houses. It's called "maximizing your options" and is kind of a reward for those who follow through the process.
PNM prefs ABC, writes down ABC, gets a bid from ABC.
PNM prefs ABC and DEF, and writes down ABC and DEF, gets a bid from ABC or DEF. Which house she gets a bid to depends on the matching process.
If she preffed ABC and DEF but only writes down DEF, she has single intentional preffed, and did not maximize her options, so she is not guaranteed a bid. She only gets a bid if she is high enough on DEF's bid list before they reach quota.
Sorority submits bid list in ranked order to panhel following pref for matching to happen. As PNM#2 matches to GHI, she comes off of DEF's bid list and the list moves up until quota is full.
If the PNM#1 is lower on the bid list for both ABC and DEF and they have already filled to quota, she is placed as a quota addition because she is guaranteed a bid because she maximized her options. If she SIP and is low on the bid list, that's how she ends up without a bid.
Cutting PNMs happens before pref. If a PNM is invited to pref, she is listed on the bid list somewhere.

Also, Open House Round is the beginning of recruitment. Girls voluntarily drop out and/or are released, so the percentages are a little different at the end of recruitment.

pi phi stop trying to make up that you aren't the bottom house, it's honestly disrespectful to the established houses who are ACTUALLY better anyways... in your case, you can at least say its because you're new, but if you keep this up, its going to be for this disgusting reputation you have of tearing others down that we saw last year and are seeing again. do better
