Pi Phi vs Chi O
by: PNMVisited both houses today and I’m totally torn. Pi Phi seems to have the best sisterhood and they’re all super genuine and welcoming but Chi O seems to have better philanthropy and alumni network. I can see myself in both. Anyone else feel similar?

Nationally speaking, these are two of the strongest sororities. Unlike a lot of other schools, b/c uofsc has only a small handful of sororities, most (not all) of them have very strong alum networks. Pick the sorority you like based off of who you want to hang out with, not some alumni network!

both have very strong alumni networks nationally (as MOST of the usc sororities do), but pi phi has only been here for like a couple years so they literally don't have one here. but you'll have plenty of opportunties to meet and engage with pi phis from around the country once you graduate... unless you plan on only living in columbia and hanging out with usc pi phis for the rest of your life?

Pi Phi actually has a really good alumni network in Columbia! They do events with alum multiple times per year :)

I think they meant actual CHAPTER alumni but yeah I’m sure they have members from other chapters living in cola

Pi Phi has alumnae clubs in many parts of SC as well as across the US. They were one of the first sororities at the University of South Carolina. Most think they are new but they are not. They were here for many years. They decided to close the chapter but recolonized 7 years ago in 2014.
