Fragile Frats.
by: LOLWhy is there so much fragile gatekeeping of the “top tier” Frats on this site. I am amused at every post that says “the only Frats that matter”. So desperate and sad.

the only frats that matter are sae, snu, the Robert E Lees, pi kapp, kappa sig, and chi psi. Historical fraternities that have been here more than not just 10 years (pike), but are also well sought after bids and well respected houses.
Need both of those. History and respect/popularity (for lack of a better term) - dtd doesn’t have the latter, all other fraternities besides pike (and they only have like 15 years, not 100+ like the others) don’t have either.

These are southern values that entrench a class of people who haven’t earned it in positions of power and influence. While more importantly keeping others down, no matter how hard they work or how much they achieve. Antithetical to American values of hard work and upward mobility. Your way insures things don’t change. But I guess you already know that. The South has a history of this and uses coded language like History and respect/popularity” to justify their culture.

Honestly if y’all think that there isn’t a huge difference in relevancy between fraternities that have been here for 100+ years and the ones who have been here for between 0-15 years, you’re just in denial. It doesn’t mean the latter are all bad, or like beta, but let’s be realistic about things.
