Recommendation letters

I'm considering rushing as a freshman next fall, are rec letters a thing here or are they not really necessary ?

Yes, you definitely need them, especially if you don’t know anyone

i rushed in the fall and didn’t know anyone and did not have a single recommendation letter and still ended up in a great sorority. it’s not needed at all!!!

Not a requirement by any means! If you know people that can write you them great! If not then don't stress! Sororities care more about the conversations you have during recruitment than if you know an alumna. It is just a good way to get your foot in the door and have your name be more recognizable but other than that it legit has nothing to do with you getting cut from a house or receiving a bid.

Not necessary at all. When rushing girls I never let letters of rec factor in to the decision process of inviting someone back the next round!
