please help!
by: TransferHi, I will be transferring to USC next fall. I really want to rush but I will be a sophomore, a transfer, and from out of state. I don't know anybody at USC. I have a high GPA and am involved in activities at my current college. I am also a legacy to three different houses, but I hear that it doesn't really help at SEC schools. Is that true? Do I have a chance of receiving a bid? Also, are there any houses that for sure won't take an out of state sophomore transfer with no connections? Please help! I really appreciate it!

You can receive a bid from any of the 11 sororities on campus even as an out of state sophomore. There are different rush quotas for each sorority for sophomores than for freshmen. As long as you have a good GPA and mesh well with the girls in the house, you should be able to go almost anywhere you want.

I'm a legacy to AXO, Phi Mu, and Tri Delta. Are you saying that even though I'll be an out of state sophomore I should be able to receive a bid from Phi Mu? I know there are no guarantees, but I'd like to know what my chances look like. Thank you!
