cob + snap bids

This kids is why we don’t suicide. Snap bids only happen on bid day and happen when the chapter reaches out to you. Now you need to follow the sororities’ social media’s to see who is advertising COB events. This will happen now that recruitment is over and again in the spring. Also there’s an email on the Greek life website you can email about being interested.
Reality is that the chapters you thought you were too good for are the ones doing COB. Sure some of the “top” ones may take a couple if they aren’t at total, but they usually do it privately with referrals from current members.

Call the Office of Greek Life and ask how you can find out who might be doing COB. If you know any girls in a sorority let them know your interested. Sororities that aren’t at total house quota will do Spring Rush right after Winter Break. Start letting girls in houses know that your interested in December and get your name on the list with the GLO. Last year at least 2 or 3 houses did Spring Rush.

that’s not true. if you didn’t get a bid after suiciding you can still participate in COB. snap bidding is over bc that happens before bid day after bid matching. maybe read the rules before posting?

Duh-you got it backward. If you suicide and sign the MRABA (that thing), you can do COB or Spring Rush. If you had put down both sororities you couldn’t do anything until next formal Rush. Every year a few houses do informal rush in January. If you suicided you can def do spring rush. Call the office of Greek life and they can tell you how

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Recruitment is so difficult. I wouldn't listen to the mean responses above. It is so easy to type out a mean response and cruel. I would follow up with Greek Life. I bet you'll land somewhere wonderful! Hopefully full of NICE people!

I’m sorry for you too. Rush can be so random especially if you didn’t know anyone in the sororities going into it. Every year great girls wind up dropping. Don’t get down on yourself. . I agree with the post above. Don’t give up. Call the Greek Life office and get their advice on COB and Spring Rush. Every January a few “top” tier and some “mid” tier houses take more girls.
Who do they take? Girls that dropped or suicided in August. Join other clubs on campus to meet more people and to show sororities you would be a good member. Let the friends you made going through Rush know you are still interested in joining. Hopefully they’ll let you know if their sorority is doing COB or informal rush. I dropped freshman year and I got in the house that I love
