You probably will have a harder time next year unless you have a lot of friends in sororities that will speak up for you. Freshmen are the most desirable new members because their longevity best helps grow a chapter

i rushed two years in a row and freshman year sucked. sophomore year was so much better, my confidence was much higher, i had friends in all the houses and had a better sense of each house. being a sophomore makes conversations way easier and you can talk about a lot more than just “where are you living, why’d you choose usc, etc”. good luck and i’m sorry it didnt work out this year!

if that is actually your reason, and not because you didn’t like your options, then I absolutely understand and support you. on one hand it is a little harder as an upperclassman but on the other hand you will now have a whole year to see where you might fit in better - maybe the things that you think matter to you don’t really this time next year, or you end up w a great group of friends that happen to have several in X sorority.

Regardless, there are even some top tier houses that generally do really well for themselves with taking sophomores - axo and zta come to mind and even ddd to some degree.

As long as you didn’t suicide, walk away crying at bid day, or quit earlier bc you didn’t like your options, best of luck!!!

I rushed as a sophomore and it was SUCH a better experience. I ended up with my top house and could not have been happier. I even recommend people to rush as a sophomore.
