Honesty if your gpa was below a 3.0 in HS(!) I’m surprised they kept you - sorry, but that’s the truth. Nationals for all the sororities have standards, regardless of what “tier” the sorority might be here or at other schools.

nah that makes sense and it’s better to hear that than think it’s something i did wrong bc i rly can’t think of any other reason

How did you get into usc with that gpa? Are you an athlete?

Seriously??? I know there are some huge differences in how hs and districts weigh gpas (some in the dc area, philly, and Seattle areas only give extra gpa points for AP’s [nothing extra for honors/gt] and even then it’s only 4.5 / 4.0 so the highest gpa you can get is like a 4.2, and those schools are way harder), while some schools in SC, GA, etc give 5.0/4.0 for any advanced classes - BUT under a 3.0 anywhere should get you dropped.

Are you the op? You said your gpa was sub 3.0??? A 3.3 weighted isn’t soooo terrible that you 100% couldn’t get into usc, given other factors, but a lot of sororities have to make cuts on a hard line, regardless of the othe le favors, and a 3.3 wouldn’t get you through. It is what it is, but it sucks when other things should be considered, they just need to cut down somewhere.

Grade cuts are huge and the easiest cuts to make. A lot of houses will have you on the cut list before you even set foot in the door just from grades. If you decide to drop and do really well your freshman year, you'll have a better chance next year because we don't look at HS grades after that. If you like the two houses you have left, give them a chance!
