by: uscstudentHas anyone else noticed that the top tier sororities are the ones getting slammed and bad rankings on here? Everyone knows that ADPi, TriDelt, KD, and Zeta are top tier and its funny how people bash them. Nothings gonna change and those four will stay on top.

People judge sororities by the girls in the sorority, correct? Okay, well if the girls in the sororities change each year, it's natural for the tiers to shift around with new pledge classes coming through. If you are "on top" that does not mean you always stay "on top". You may get an extra few years of grace period even when you are sucking due to your name but eventually people will notice you slipping. That doesn't mean old top tiers can't come back after a few bad years, but if the girls change, the tiers change. Now realistically, top tiers probably won't ever drop to the very bottom, but yes it is possible for you to fall to middle or upper middle tier for awhile. Just like the very "bottom tier" sororities could probably get up to middle tier but the likelihood of them jumping straight to the top is slim to none. Stop riding on your old reputations. Maybe if the girls in some (notice I said some not all) of these sororities would start being nicer and classier, they would get more respect and keep their appeal to the new girls.

It's sad to see girls tear each other down like this. Most of the time you forget why these organizations exist. Founding women wanted to make a difference. It's not all about the booze and who's the best. That will all end in 4 years. In 4 years no one is going to care what was top tier at your school or who was lower. It's about sisterhood and philanthropy. Instead of tearing each other down maybe it is time to help build each other up. You are apart of a Greek System that could really make a difference in the world, and it's about time everyone realizes that.
