is there even a point in rushing this year
by: maybe pnmshould i just wait and rush my sophomore year? i have heard that functions and almost every other sorority event will probably be cancelled. don't want to spend money for nothing?????
#4by: u should rush
#5by: rush!
You should definitely still rush this year! Being part of a sorority is so much more than functions and stuff, it’s having a community on campus with people you can identify with and relate to and makes a home away from home for you at USC. Even though rush and functions may look a bit different this fall, every chapter is working very hard to make everything happen, just with a few precautions to ensure safety!

Recruitment and Greek life as a whole will for sure be very different in the fall- it’s unsure if we will have functions or not. That being said I would till wya you should rush. USC is huge and rush will make it a lot easier to meet people. Since a lot of classes are being put online and dorms are being spread out, rushing might be one of the easiest and only ways to meet people. I would strongly recommend even though it may be different this year

With this attitude probably not. Sororities are not going to charge you for functions if they don’t happen. Being in Greek life is about finding your place in college, and if we’re being honest... it will probably be much easier to get in your first choice this year, with less girls going through recruitment and the chance that their might even be a few rounds online.
#8by: No
I’m very anti negative Nancy stuff and hope that things will be able to happen but it’s a really good point that why should girls pay full sorority dues if the reality is that they won’t be getting the full experience by no fault of their own, their sorority’s, the school’s, etc. - question is are any sororities considering or offering discounted or reflective dues for the upcoming year as a result?
