What do I do????

There is no difference, the only time ranks matter is during rush and on this site. When you show up at a party no one asks what tier sorority you’re in.

Self ranks don't exist in real life so don't worry about the sororities that constantly self rank on here as top and join the sorority you actually like the best.

It doesn’t matter whether you are in a top tier sorority or one that isn’t considered one - maybe your sorority won’t have (as many?) direct mixers w “good” frats, but that is literally it. Only other thing I can think of is it is nice to be in a sorority that has some history on campus, every top tier + good middle tier kkg and dz have been around usc for at least 30 years.

I am in a “bottom” sorority and absolutely love it. All of my closest friends are in my chapter and I still have a lot of friends in “upper” sororities too. When it comes to frats, no one really cares and I still go to “good” frats parties. The reason I put all of the levels in quotes is because aside from that one week of recruitment a year, it doesn’t matter what sorority you’re in.

if a guy genuinely cares whether you are in a top tier srat or not then he is not the type of guy you want to associate with anyway bc odds are he has a huge ego. plus, most of the middle/bottom frats have the nicest guys that are the most chill and fun and they definitely do not care about ranks so i wouldn’t worry about it.
