The top six are all GREAT. Seriously. It doesn't make a difference which one you get because all six are fantastic and everyone is going to have a different opinion on the order.

that's pretty much the concensus. we're not typical in that we don't really have normal tiers or have a lot of variance across the board - even outside of the top 6 (which is pretty much half the sororities!) there are only one or two that would be considered "not good". for the most part, if you rush any sorority at usc, you're good. not like other big schools. i think it's because we are just better at everything!

I think that was their point - that most of the sororities are great and well respected unlike at other schools

tbh, I don't really think there are tiers any more. All the houses are really good and they all have great sisterhoods. Some of the ones that are ranked at the bottom are just ranked there because of tradition. Before there were so many oos students, the local girls kind of preferred certain houses because of the legacy system. Now, those houses still have the "name" but it doesn't mean that much anymore. Besides, all our houses are absolutely top tier somewhere...

All the houses are good and that is what makes people go crazy trying to distinguish between them. There's really not all this hostility and judging in real life. Only on here and only during recruitment.

There are no "bad" houses at USC. Each house offers something a little different. If you like one of the houses that gets tagged as lower, more power to you. You will not suddenly become a social pariah just because you are not in one of the "top tier" houses. All houses have some issues.
Also, look at what YOU have to offer a house, as well.

but to clarify, those are the correct top 6 - and there is still a big gap (it's just that what's below the gap is still ok for the most part). that gap does exist, DZ and Phi Mu, but you're still awesome!
