by: pnmWould it tacky/cliche to wear a Lilly dress during rush? I don't want to come off as tacky. I know I should be myself and Lilly is a part of my personality but idk if I'll look like a try hard... or if that's what sororities like to see. Would they rather see something stylish and cute or something classic like Lilly?

Anyone who can actually point out an “old print” probably has way to much time on their hands lol. As long as you like what your wearing and you are confident in it, go for it. I know you’re not looking for a “wear whatever you feel comfortable in” answer so...I wore white lilly shorts and skirts throughout recruitment, and a Lilly dress one day and ended up in arguably the best house on campus. SO with that said, as long as you look cute and like you put effort into your appearance you’ll be fine. We’re not supposed to judge off appearance but just like you wouldn’t show up to a job interview looking anything other than your best self, recruitment is the same. We would much rather sleep in as late as possible but we get up and spend time getting ready because we want to give yall our very best selves and we expect the same to be given to us. Lack of effort is kind of the one thing that annoys me lol. While no one really wears much lilly in college that ive ever noticed, recruitment is different and if there is ever a time to pull out those TB sandals and that printed Lilly dress this is it! Good luck!(:
