social scene exclusive to five points?
by: OGSpurrierCurrently I’m a high school senior deciding between USC & another school. Just a curious about the social scene. Ik USC is known for Five Points, but is there any house/frat parties as well or is the scene purely downtown?

Okay when I was trying to determine where to go I was worried about this too...however bars are EXTREMELY separated by different frats and sororities. There is actually a large chance that you will go your entire freshman year and never step foot into some bars because the frats you and your sorority hang out with don’t go there. Also frats rent out bars and places around Columbia randomly and have party like things. They also have Darties often and other big events.

false. no sorority or fraternity only goes to certain bars. I'm a freshman and i go to different bars every weekend. whats cool about usc is that yes we don't have traditional house parties but we do have frat pregames. Those are basically shorter house parties before you hit the bars. we also have more darties than most schools and the one and only frat lots. Its hard to get bored when you have so many options.
