hi pnms!

Please please please keep in mind that if you are going through rush in August this is probably the WORST website to get recruitment advice from. The house rankings and comments (which you should NOT care about anyway) are completely invalid. And the advice you are getting should not be taken to heart. The fact is, every sorority at USC has different values and focuses, so girls from different sororities are going to give you different opinions and advice about recruitment. Some houses are more traditional than others, while some houses are more laid back. You won't get a good idea about the houses before you actually get to Columbia and go through each house and talk to the girls. After all, you can't believe everything you read on the internet.
Y'all will have an orientation before recruitment starts and you'll learn a lot about the process there. The best thing to do is to honestly NOT STRESS, enjoy your last summer before you come to the BEST college in the world, and be EXCITED to start the process.

She's right. That's the best advice you'll get on this site. Oh and use your Pi Chi's! You'll get your Pi Chi group at orientation and Pi Chi's are trained to give you the best unbiased advice. It'll all work out so have a good summer and stay excited for rush. Recruitment is fun ;)

Stop worrying about diversity y'all! If you come from a diverse background keep in mind that you probably wouldn't WANT to be a part of a sisterhood that didn't want you because of your skin color. WIth that being said, before you assume houses are not inviting you back because of that, try and think if you actually connected with the member that you talked to. If you don't have a bond with someone, then no they probably won't invite you back, color aside

Um, yes and no. From the outside looking in it doesn't seem like many sororities are that diverse, but I don't think it's because everyone is against minorities. I don't know how other sororities go about recruitment, but in mine we care about the quality of a girl. I know girls who are minorities who are happy with their sisterhood so I really do believe there is no need to worry! It's scary, but you jut have to trust the system.
