spring rush
by: hiHow many sororities typically rush in the spring & are there any that never do? Just wondering if it would be worth it to drop now and try the more informal rush if i find people i connect with this semester in a sorority I like because I don't like my current options.

its different every year. Last year a lot of houses including some top tier houses did spring rush! It all depends on how many people graduate, or drop, or the size of the fall pledge class. I don't think adpi kd or chi o do spring rush but I could be wrong! The only things I have heard about spring rush is that its a lot more informal. Alot of people who get bids in the spring have friends in the house. Good luck with everything!

Last year, TriD and ZTA did spring rush but it was largely limited to girls who had connections in the sorority. DZ/PiPhi/AXiD/GPhi/AGD (AGD did not last year but usually does) typically do spring rush. Some of these houses again limit who gets a bid- typically these spring classes are smaller (<20) and have friends in the sorority already. Your options are definitely more limited, so I wouldn't drop during round 3 to try to get a better house in spring
