something actually important

by:

If you are going into a sorority for four years, regardless of which, each has a reputation by others on campus. what are these typical stereotypes? just wondering if its going to be pin pointed with my name for the next for years...

The chapters are so big that it's hard to stereotype them really... At smaller schools its easier

Don't worry so much about what others think. Form your own opinions while going through recruitment.

It is true that certain sororities have reputations. Some of the "top" sororities even have some bad reputations. However don't let a few members of a chapter who have created a bad image reflect upon the entire chapter. Simply go through recruitment, find where you belong, and try not be one of those girls behaving like that stereotype because people will define you by your letters whether or not that's who you really are.

AAAND the next 5:
DZ: Smart, probably the least southern sorority here, and some cute girls who don't care about traditional sorority stuff. But they've got insane mandatory study hours for their members, and are so under the radar no one really hears from them.
Phi Mu: VERY involved, hardworking cute girls. But they try wayyy too hard, and are almost worse than the too tiers in the way they talk about each other.
KKG: They've gotten so much better in the past few years, and their last PC is awesome. They used to be called Krispy Kreme Grabbers, but they're shedding that faster every year.
GPhiB: I can honestly say I've never met a mean Gamma Phi. So sweet and supportive of other sororities at events. They have always been bottom here because they are a pretty random assortment of girls, but there is definitely so much good to be found in gamma phi.
AGD: Well? They're the new kids. They did get super involved super quick, but they also have an annoying sense of entitlement that puts people off. This is then first formal recruitment, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Tried to be as objective as I could! I personally wish I'd known the reps before rushing.

Nope, just trying to play nice with a sorority most people are really mean to. I thought this was a pretty honest assessment.

Not really...I'm not in Chi O, but have lots of friends in it that are not the least bit heady. They are all really sweet, smart and pretty girls. Don't y'all realize there are over 300 girls in each sorority and that you can't put that many girls in a mold?

ADPi: pretty little future PTA presidents
KD: old south private school stuck in the past
DDD: partiers who get away with murder because of daddy's money
ZTA: hott but totally out of control
AXO: ragers
XO: bros

DZ: under the radar--most are bookish but a handful of awesome girls
Phi Mu: little try-hards
KKG: krispy Kreme grabbers--getting better
Gamma Phi: random mix of normal and...what?
AGD: no seriously...what?

By: just my opinion

PNMs...don't listen to the above post. Go through rush and form your own opinions. These are old stereotypes. Chapters change with new pledge classes. And last year, pledge classes were 111 girls. So there's too many girls in each chapter to really stereotype them.

"Ragers, bros, and little try hards" What does that even mean? Someone sure has a way with words. I agree with the last post. GO THROUGH RUSH AND FORM YOUR OWN OPINIONS! You'll be glad you did and didn't listen to someone else's opinions.
