So what do the Greeks really consider a good GPA coming in as a freahman?

If you have below a 3.0 you'll get dropped by most. But com on now... 3.0 highschool GPA is not asking a whole lot. ADPi drops below 3.2.

i know XO will drop you if you have below a 3.2 as well

ADPi and XO are the two with the highest academic standards. Others you should be fine with a 3.0.

3.0 is usually Chi O's grade cut off during rush.

So on the app for recruitment I guesstimated my gpa and class rank... they double check with our final transcripts right?

As long as you have a 3.0 or better you should be fine for most sororities. However, GPA isn't all that matters. A sorority doesn't want a girl who's just smart but does nothing other than school. We want well rounded girls. So if your GPA isn't the best but you did tons of extracurricular activities in high school (student gov, varsity sports, honors societies, volunteering, etc) then you're going to have a better shot at a good sorority than someone who only has a high GPA going for them.

4.0 or below is bad
