recommendation help

So I've tried emailing my alumnae chapters asking for recommendations and some say they must know you to give you one. I dont know many people and I know it is really important to have them. Any advice on getting them?

heres the thing... why get a recommendation from someone who doesn't know you? It's really not going to help you, I didn't get a rec and I was fine...

Recommendations are best when they come from someone who knows you. Have you asked the women you know who went to college if they have a sorority affiliation? Teachers, coaches, your mom's friends/co-workers, your friends' moms, neighbors, ladies you've babysat for, gone to church with, worked for. You might know more Greek women than you think you do!
