fraternity formal vs informal rush?

I'm planning on rushing in the fall but don't have any connections to guys that are in fraternities. Will it be impossible to get a bid to a house? and what can I do to make sure I get a bid? Thanks

Not impossible but harder. Find cool guys in your dorms, gonto rush events and meet people
