You could do either, It's better to deactivate weeks before recruitment and during. Once you are in a house you can reactivate it. It just works out so much better that way. Also, plan on cleaning it up anyway. Once you are in a house you are representing your WHOLE chapter. You will be a part of something so much bigger than yourself. which is great in SO many ways!

sounds like you want a top tier sorority. and so here's how i'll break it down to you. when you decided to go to south carolina, you likely made announcements on facebook twitter or instagram. chances are, the girls in top tier sororities at USC immediately made note of you to their chapter. so if you, at this point, haven't already cleaned up your facebook.. you are screwed. i hope you don't expect a really good sorority because theyre really picky. please know that you will likely be cut from top tier. here's another thing: i say with absolute certainty that all the top tier chapters know 70% of the girls they're gonna give bids to before rush ever even starts. it's a competitive process and it's also an elaborate game of politics.
