oos girls
by: New yorkerWhich sororities are more accepting of girls that are out of state? I’m trying to get rec letters together

Get recs if you can. Its not a guarantee, but most of the girls from the South will have them so it makes you a little more even with the crowd. I'm in a "top house," I'm from out of state, and had 2 strong recs in every house, high GPA, and still got cut second round from other "top houses" that I really liked. You just have to roll with it and be flexible. There are lots of great houses. But I get your stress coming from OOS - just be yourself, watch for good sisterhood, and it will all work out.

Not totally true. My roommates are an OOS TriDelt and an OOS ChiO, which are both strong sororitys. There are so many sororities now, you will get a bid. Congrats on being brave and going OOS - good luck!
