I was dropped from my legacy chapter right before pref - we filled out all the appropriate forms and my sister's composite was still on their wall, so I wasn't too happy about the turnout. However, I love the house I ended up in so just maximize your options and be genuine. Good luck

I’m a chi omega here at USC and while we can’t guarantee anything sororities definitely give special attention to legacies. Ultimately the system puts you where you fit best though, so if you seem to be a much better fit somewhere else, being a legacy won’t guarantee you a bid in chi o. See how you feel in the house and go from there! But of course we would love to have you. :) happy rushing!!

I'm a chi o legacy and before I got initiated one of the older girls told me that chi o hates giving out "pity bids" (aka showing special treatment just because you're a legacy). Because of this, during rush we actually are harder on legacies because we want to make sure that they belong and are a good fit personality wise rather than automatically sending them through just because of their connections. Overall it's about how comfortable you are and how much you feel at home!!
