spring

Do you know how I would go about getting on the list so to speak or being recruited by the sorority chapters participating in spring recruitment? I know for a lot of them you just have to know girls but is there any other way to be really considered? I really want to join a sorority to find that awesome group of friends here in college, but was told many begin their spring process before Thanksgiving/Christmas break, and I don't want to miss out :)
