rushing as a sophomore
by: CuriousHow difficult would if be for a sophomore to do fall rush/receive a bid from a sorority?

It's not hard at all! I rushed as a sophomore this year, too, and a lot of my pledge class is sophomores, as well. Being a sophomore actually gives you somewhat of an advantage--you're more confident and mature after your freshman year, and have a better idea of what you want. I'm so glad I waited instead of doing it freshman year.

special attention is payed to sophomores because every sorority has to have a certain number of them. As long as you don't have a bad reputation rushing as a sophomore will give you a huge advantage. I know a lot of girls who got dropped by all the sororities except for bottom tier ones and then rerushed as a sophmore and got a top tier sorority
