ranks based on bid day

by:

New ranks coming through, post bid day everything is somewhat similar but there's some shifting going on within tiers

Top
Adpi Zta TriDelt
KD Axo Xo

Adpi had a great pledge class, and Zta surprised with a great one too. TriDelt did a little worse than usual probably from so pro. KD had a mediocre pledge class, Axo did better than usual and seemed to snag a lot of great girls, Xo did same as usual

Mid
KKG PM
DZ AGD

KKG had a solid class, phi mus was decent too. DZ and Agd did pretty well, so nothing really changed in middle tier

Bottom
GPhiB PiPhi AXiD

All did better than expected and picked up some solid girls, but weren't as desired as mid tier or top tier.

Phi mus pc was underwhelming, even at their level. Adpi made a better comeback after last year, and axo really did well.

yeah. Phi mu's was so underwhelming i would switch phi mu and dz

The Phi Mu pledge class was pretty meh overall, from what I saw. It was also pretty clear some of them were not happy at all to be there. Definitely under DZ's pledge class (who seemed pretty enthusiastic, as did AGD's and GPhi's).

Gphi has happened for longer than phimu, agd, piphi, and azd.

If it wasn't for those girls who pioneered bringing the first new sorority to USC in 25 years, you wouldn't have yours. Classy

Just for the record, GPhi colonized in 2004. Before that was Kappa Alpha Theta in 1990. That's only 14 years difference. And also, that's not at all how expansion works. And RFM was piloted in 2004/2005, so, that changed return rates and how recruitment happened and the need for expansion.

pi phi came to USC in 1931 and was on campus for 54 years before they left. So its kinda weird to say that gphi paved the way for them when they had already been there. Gphi made its first appearance at USC in 2005. You may wanna do your research before saying that one sorority paved the way for others...just saying.

Lol that arguement makes no sense. Yes Pi Phi was here before, but they lost that charter. So to come back they had to go through the extension process, present their sorority, and get chosen to return. They were chosen when AXiD was in 2012.

I agree with just saying. Its the concept that the individual said that one sorority paved the way for all the others that either came here or came back. They were just pointing out that not one sorority alone paved the way for the others to come.

i'm sorry, were you alive in 1931 or EVEN 1990 when these sororities who lost their charters didn't make it?

Your statements may be accurate, but in terms of the modern era of Greek Life at USC, gphi HAS actually had something to do with the fact that you have a sorority to be in today. The response to this is flat out disrespectful.

Gphi, congrats on a great rush. New sororities, congrats on a good rush, don't get a big head.

Yeah, sit down GPhi. That is not how extension works. There's no such thing as paving the way. There's numbers and whether the numbers support a new chapter or not. How well those chapters do depend on the resources their nationals put in to the colony.

Omg I think y'all all missed the point. In the MODERN ERA AKA NOW, yes, gphi did actually kind of get the ball rolling. Like, these arguements aren't even logical. They aren't the best, but kudos to them.

No, the "arguments" on why GPhi didn't pave the way, since there's no such thing, are actually completely logical since they're facts and numbers as opposed to a subjective opinion. They were just the first to colonize. A school doesn't pick sororities to colonize because of one they picked before, they choose to open for expansion because the numbers support a new chapter.

So you are basing this off of what - return rates (which you don't have access to) a glance at how pretty each pledge class is (which I doubt you have seen more than 10 girls in each of these pledge classes) or just total BS. Obviously just total BS. I'm guessing everyone did about the same as last year, and if you say anything differently, you are pretty much telling us which sorority you are in. Like the 2 posts by AXO's above.

I agree - everyone did really well. I just get tired every year of people posting crap on here so the new PNMS can see it. The only way to know who did "well" is to see the return rates, and we can't see those. Everything else is just a quick glance at a few people walking by in jerseys so you judge a whole group of 115 people based on that.

It's been like this for years... The first one to get on here always declares themselves as having a killer pledge glass and others a mediocre one. And nothing ever changes in the rankings so matter how great a class XO, AXO, KKG and Ph Mu do. Y'all are delusional.
