last year's rush was competitive....the year before's rush was competitive....so on and so forth. Rush is a hard process for everyone. Yes, there are more people than ever before but also, yes, there is a place and a home for everyone. Everyone rushing this year seems to have come in with the mindset of thinking they are higher and mightier than most of the sororities that have been working their as s off for months to prepare for this. It's upsetting to watch these girls rushing this year treat certain houses so viciously and drop the second the house they thought they wanted cut them. Hopefully college will teach these girls how to grow up.

First off, they didn't get bad houses back. They got butt hurt they were dropped from their "dream house" they've spent less than an hour in and refused to give the houses that actually wanted them a chance
Secondly, just because there are more girls, doesn't necessarily mean it's harder. It just means some houses get to be more selective. It does not mean it's harder to get in a sorority. The more PNMs that go through pref, the bigger the pledge classes and essentially more girls in each chapter.
I honestly have zero sympathy for girls who drop out because of their lists. It shows me they aren't mature enough for Greek Life. Everyone can't be an XYZ. But if you trust the process and be yourself, you can end up in a place you can be happy.

There are girls who will have one track mindsets that will get back houses they wanted - and we won't know. There are girls who will have already dropped bc they think they are too good for the houses who did kindly extend them invites (SURPRISE, B ITCH, - you've proven you good enough for them either), and there are girls who will cry on bid day because they think they are too good for the house that gave them a bid. The third kind are the worst - don't be that.
At least the second group had some decency - make up a different reason you dropped.
I think houses should have the right to strip an invitation if someone cries on bid day because they are upset.
