What is quota this year? Is it down? Smaller PCs wouldn't be a bad thing, they were getting ridiculously large.

Smaller is better, but 70? My cousin rushed in 05 and she said she had 90!

Quota is 130, but that's the maximum, not all of the houses take that many. The "top 6" don't always take quota because their chapters are already too big, and they just take the girls they want regardless of how high they could go. Plus usc makes the "top" houses (higher return rates) cut more girls to try to make all of the other chapters larger and stronger. It might sound illogical, but that's how it works.

anyone had an idea of how many the houses actually took?

Last year it was 110 and I think this year it was similar. Also what "quota" said is wrong, that's not how the matching process works. Quota is minimum, and there's no way it was 130. Once you meet quota if there are PNM's left that didn't SIP and match either of their houses they get added as quota additions. Last year every house met quota for their pledge class except for gamma phi (yes even Pi phi met quota).

So if there are some above and some below "quota" then quota is not a maximum or a minimum, it is a goal. Everyone's minimum is actually zero. You can't force people to join a sorority they don't want so that the sorority gets a minimum number of girls. But you can add girls above the maximum goal to keep girls from not getting a bid at all. I think it is great that we add girls above quota. The process is stressful enough.

I heard 130 but after hearing a few of the pledge class sizes 110 makes more sense

Top 6es took 110+, and some of those outside top 6 may have as well. Kudos to gamma phi for going less but legit going quality over quantity

I think they need to introduce a sliding quota system so the numbers in the houses even out more. Like ADPI has 400 girls. They shouldn't be able to take as many girls as a chapter that has 250 or 300 imo.
