AGDs philanthropy round theme was the absurd thing I've seen. How in the world does it makes sense to use a candy theme when your philanthropy is for juvenile diabetes? Poor planning and judgement.

A life with AGD is sweet but a life without juvenile diabetes is even sweeter.... I'm sorry I thought it was a cute theme and had to do with the philanthropy. What did other houses do that you liked better?

Yes, life without juvenile diabetes would be sweeter. But guess what. I was diagnosed with it when I was 8 and I still have it since there isn't a cure and I have to constantly monitor by sugar intake. So having them associate diabetes with sugar was a little weird to me.

I'm sorry to hear that. My boyfriend also has juvenile diabetes, and being in a sorority that supports the research and development of it means a ton to me. The idea of it was not to offend anyone, and I'm sorry if it offended you. I think the idea was that a life without juvenile diabetes is even sweeter, so we had a bunch of sweets around to signify that. Again, I'm sorry if anything offended you! That was not our intentions at all.

I can see where the PNM is coming from. They're saying a "life without juvenile diabetes is sweeter" but it's a life she'll never experience. I can see how that can be taken the wrong way even though it wasn't meant to be mean.
