Rank would matter to some degree, because, to some degree, it is an overall reflection of the sorority. Doesn't mean everything, but does mean something.

I mean yeah they matter if you want to associate with people who think having certain letters makes you better than everyone else. So if you're a shallow a-hole, then yes. they matter.

The only thing that matters is where you feel most comfortable.

No, rank doesn't matter at all. Also, the way the FSL office ranks the groups is different than what you see on this website. No one is going to not talk to you because of your letters-- the "bottom tier" groups have just as many mixers as the "top tier" ones. AGD won greek week and phi mu won homecoming-- neither of them are considered "top."

The only people it matters to are shallow people that want to call themselves better than others, and those aren't the kind of people you want to be associating with anyway. It's also not a majority in any house that think this way, it would be a minority, so you're safe choosing where you feel like you belong.
