because they are the top tier - and before anyone argues about how "kd sux" (they don't) - there is a major separation between the top tier and the next tier - there are only two real distinguishable tiers here. top 6 and the rest. all are great and would be top tier at other schools.
anyone in the top 6 has great return rates and as such as more choice when they are deciding who they want - hence them dropping more people.
we are also seeing that more and more with some of the other sororities as well, including kappa and phi mu, who are doing very very very well.
