question about rush
by: 2016I went thru Rush last year but dropped out when my 2 Favs ADPi and XO dropped me after the 2nd round. I'm going thru again and would like to know if I have a chance to get into one of them this year? Like do y'all keep a list of who you dropped last year? I have very good grades from my freshman year if that helps. Thanks for any guidance.

Lol homegirl you need to worry more about having a more open mind than getting your top two choices. Think of rush like the harry potter sorting hat. You might wanna go one sorority, but the hat (rush) knows better. You will end up where you fit in the best. Get rid of your "top tier" mindset, and you'll be happy wherever you end up... otherwise... enjoy being a GDI.

I'm sorry but I'm just wondering how you know you can only be happy with XO and ADPi after two rounds that literally involve 20 min talking max??? Do my sorority a favor when you come to our house and just tell us that you -must have- one of those two so we don't waste our time of energy on you. I 100% don't want someone that shallow as a sister

It's pretty obvious who could be a good fit and who isn't as rush goes on. First round cuts is usually girls who act uninterested (obv don't wanna be there), Girls who talk about stuff that is just vulgar, and grades. Second round is when you can learn about someone better. It's all about first impressions. And sometimes there are mistakes but most of the time PNMs end up where they are destined to be. Would you rather be in a group of sisters who you love but they don't love you back, or a group of sisters who adore you? This is why we say come with an open mind. Because if you're getting cut by your favorite houses (esp. second round), then you probably just weren't a right fit.
