what does each sorority look for during recruitmen
by: JJAre there specific things that the sororities look for? Also how do you get into a top sorority? What would make the sororities not want you?

USC sorority rush is "values based". Each sorority has specific values that their sorority holds dear that they will be looking for during rush. Obviously it's difficult to tell what values people hold after a 20 minute conversation, so they look for a good GPA/leadership positions or other involvement in extracurriculars/interest in community service, and most importantly, how your personality clicks with theirs. It will turn them off if they feel like are talking to a girl who is trying to get to the "top" rather than find a genuine sisterhood. You'll be in a "top" tier sorority if your personality (and supposedly your values) lines up with that particular sorority.

I feel like it'd be super fake if you you just acted like you were into something just to be in a 'top tier' sorority. Go through recruitment and be who you are, talk about what you like and are interested in, and really get to know the girls in each house. Me and almost everyone else in Greek life joined our organization because we wanted lifelong friends and a home away from home. These girls truly become your sisters. Join a sorority because you want those things, and not because you want something for status/ to make you look cool.
